Viva la France Empty Viva la France

French election is tonight- they don't allow election polling in the last weekend, so we have little to go on. Here are the current standings in order of polling:

Macron: Center (Pro-EU)
Le Pen: Far Right (Anti)
Mélenchon: Far Left (Anti, and my personal favorite)
Hamon: Left (Polls so low it doesn't matter)

So here we have the election for France, determining its role in the EU, and if not, which extreme it will follow.

Further info, Fillon is suffering under a major scandal, and is currently only 1% higher then Mélenchon.

23-22-20-19 Percent for those four candidates.

Moving on are Macron and Le Pen. Fillon and Hamon have endorsed Macron, and Mélenchon is holding out until every single vote is counted.

As a result, our support is shifting to Macron.

It's nice to know we support a pro-EU candidate

Our policy is not EU-centric, although it often is. Our reason for supporting him and the EU is because it promises peace in Europe and provides moderate levels of social and economic equality to the citizens of its member states. Such equality could also have been established by Mélenchon, albeit with more hardship and risk potential.

Macron is projected to be the new President of France, with over 96% reporting!

[If only our election ended so happily...]
